Privacy Policy

• Account details. If you sign in, we store the email address, display name and avatar URL supplied by your sign-in provider (for example Google).
• Subscription status. Plan, billing interval, renewal date and the customer/subscription identifiers issued by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.
• Watchlists. The markets you choose to save to your account.
• Messages. The name, email and message you send through our contact form.
• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to the weekly recap, we store your email address, which page you signed up from, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to block automated signups. Your address is also added to our email provider (Brevo), which sends the weekly recap and handles unsubscribes.
• Technical data. Standard server logs and cookies or similar identifiers used for analytics and, on free accounts, advertising.

To create and secure your account, to deliver the features your plan includes, to take payment and manage renewals or cancellations, to answer your messages, to keep the service reliable and free of abuse, and to fund the free tier through advertising.

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data described above.
• Our payment processor (Stripe), which handles checkout, cards, invoices and the billing portal under its own privacy policy.
• Our email provider (Brevo), which stores subscriber addresses for the weekly recap newsletter and processes unsubscribe requests.
• Our analytics provider, Google Analytics (GA4), which sets cookies to measure page views, traffic sources and aggregate usage of the site.
• Our advertising partner (Google AdSense), which may set cookies to measure and personalise ads shown to non-subscribers.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the processors above, or where the law requires it.

Nothing you need to read the market data requires a cookie. Beyond strictly necessary storage (your sign-in session and your saved consent choice), we deploy exactly two third-party technologies:

• Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KQWML30JVX) — counts page views, newsletter sign-ups and other on-site events so we can see which pages are useful.
• Google AdSense — shows advertising to free accounts, which funds the free tier. Pro subscribers see no ads.

We use Google Consent Mode v2. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland start with analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation all set to denied; nothing is set until you choose on the cookie banner. Visitors elsewhere start with those signals granted and can reject at any time. Your choice is stored in your browser and replayed on every visit. To change or withdraw it, use the Cookie settings link in the footer. Where consent is required, it is our legal basis under the ePrivacy rules and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; the account and billing data described above is processed to perform our contract with you.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads, and manage other vendors at aboutads.info/choices.

Account, subscription and watchlist data is kept while your account exists and for up to 12 months afterwards, or longer where tax and accounting rules require it. Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months. Server logs are kept for a short operational period.

You may ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it entirely, and you may withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, watchlists and subscription record; billing records held by our payment processor follow its own retention rules.

COT Terminal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
